Tony Bennett's Exploring The Arts Foundation

Mission Statement: Founded in 1999 by Tony Bennett and Susan Benedetto, Exploring the Arts (ETA) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen the role of the arts in American education by returning arts-enriched programming to public schools across the country. To this end, ETA develops programs that connect private funders, individual artists and cultural institutions to public schools as a way to achieve greater equality of resources and opportunity for youth of all means and backgrounds. ETA champions programs and curricula that: (1) teach young artists to embrace true craft over the cult of fame that pervades our culture; (2) promote interdisciplinary learning by integrating the arts with standard academics; and (3) that encourage social consciousness and a commitment to community.

THE FELIX ORGANIZATION/Adoptees For Children
Darryl "DMC" McDaniels from Run DMC and Sheila Jaffe the Casting Director of "The Sopranos" and "Entourage" are both adoptees who have searched for and found their birth families. As they pursued their journey of discovery they realized how fortunate they are having been raised by a loving family and how things could have gone very differently had they not been adopted.
"Our mission statement" is to provide opportunities and new experiences that will enrich the lives of children growing up without parents. This is our goal - to send these children to summer camp. Since its inception in 2006, THE FELIX ORGANIZATION has sent over 300 children to CAMP FELIX. The camp is located in Putnam Valley, New York and the children attend for one or two week sessions. They are provided with many activities: basketball, swimming, softball, arts and crafts, drama, yoga to name a few. Our goal is to continue to send children to CAMP FELIX and increase the number of children we can send.
